We depart Quito for
Santo Domingo at 7:00 am, on a two and a half
hour route through Ecuador's Andean cloudforest.
We put-in near the town of Santo Domingo, and
after a safety briefing we run 20 km of white
water! Depending on the water level, the trip
should take us about three hours down the river.
On our way we will encounter spectacular
rainforest, an abundance of birdlife, and
possibly the Southern River Otter. We will spend
the evening at a local hotel or camp.
