This is a
relaxing whitewater rafting trip that will add excitement
to your stay in the luxurious Cotococha Lodge. You will
be surrounded by the fascinating sounds of the jungle at
night and the incredible pristine waters of the Jatunyacu
River during the day.
Suggested itinerary:

1. |
We depart Quito at 08:30
in the morning, and cross the valley of Tumbaco
and Pifo to the highest point of the Andes at
4000 mts before descending to Papallacta, famous
for its hot springs. After our relaxing stop in
Papallacta we head on to Baeza and Tena. We will
cross the Napo river and reach our put-in spot on
the Anzu river (class II-III rapids). Overnight
at Cabañas Cotococha. |
| Day
2. |
After
a good breakfast we go to the Napo river, and run
it approximately for four hours. We run class III
rapids, and see an amazing variety of rainforest
birdlife and flora on this trip. Overnight at the
same hotel. |
| Day
3. |
After
breakfast we will drive back to Baeza, and raft
the Jatunyacu river for approximately three
hours. In the afternoon we head back to Quito. |
