Toward 1555, the Treasury "Chuquipoggio" it was of property of Don Hernando de la Parre(Spanish) who receives the lands of hands of the Town council. Around the XVI-XVII century, it passes at the hands of Don Antonio López de Galarza, son of the Captain of the Spain´sCrown, Don Antonio Mandragón. Later on, this country becomes property of Don José Antonio de Villavicencio, brother-in-law of Don Pedro Vicente Maldonado. After this Don Alfredo Villagómez and later on of Don Martin Chiriboga and León, Spanish Crown´s realistic correcting.
In 1843, they meet in Chuquipoggio to plan details on the "Revolution of the Three Pesos" or Revolution Marcista, denominated this way to be carried out in the month of March. In 1844, they named to the county property "Capital of County" and to the house "Capital of Weapons" When Simón Bolivar traveled to the north, the town of Blunt entertained it, and he stayed in the county property before arriving to Riobamba.
