Jungle Lodges in Ecuador: Yuturi Lodge

Day 01.- | Fly from Quito to Coca. Transfer to a motor canoe and navigation along the NAPO and Yuturi rivers. A night hike around the Paraguaco lagoon to observe nocturnal animals completes the day’s activities. |

Day 02.- | Get up early. Canoe trip through the Yuturi lagoon to observe the transition between the Land vegetation to the aquatic, and the diversity of birds (nearly 500 species have been found) Afterward, canoe trip through the Manduro lagoon, and natural hike through the rain forest to observe the exuberant vegetation, some plants and the diversity of aquatic birds. Night walking to observe caimans and electric eels. |

Day 03.- | After breakfast, walk by the way of Huarmy Yuturi to observe many plants and animals, then visit to the Indian community Samona Yuturi to learn about their customs. In the afternoon, native guides will show how to use a blowgun and possibly to weave baskets using local fibres. |

Day 04.- | Early departure to Coca by motorised canoe to take the flight back to Quito. |

What to bring with you: lightweight long and short-sleeved shirts, lightweight pants and shorts (no jeans), comfortable shoes, swimwear, hat with brim, sunglasses, torch, insect repellent, sun block, 1-2 plastic bags, binoculars, passport, camera (with flash), day pack.
